With the DynaVap Cap Armor, you can thermally upgrade your existing Captive Cap without having to replace it with another cap. The precisely manufactured stainless steel shell increases the thermal mass, thereby ensuring longer heating cycles, more even heat distribution, and more controlled extraction. At the same time, your existing DynaVap setup remains modular and flexible.
The Cap Armor simply slides over an existing Captive Cap. The additional mass of solid stainless steel allows more heat to be stored. This extends the heating cycle and distributes heat more evenly to the cap and tip.
In practice, this enables a relatively long, controlled, and reproducible extraction. Depending on your setup and heating technique, a full extraction can be achieved within one to two heating cycles – ideal for anyone who wants quick effects!
Another practical advantage is evident when heating with a jet lighter: with the Cap Armor mounted, no rotation is required during the heating process. This makes handling more comfortable and facilitates even heating.
Unlike the classic Armored Cap, the Cap Armor is not a complete replacement cap. Instead, you continue to use your existing Captive Cap and supplement it with the stainless steel shell.
This makes the Cap Armor particularly interesting if you are satisfied with your current Captive Cap but desire higher heat retention and longer heating cycles. If necessary, the upgrade can be removed again, allowing you to flexibly adapt your setup to your preferred use.
Of course, the precise fit was designed so that the airflow and the basic function of the cap are maintained.
To assemble, carefully press the Cap Armor onto the already mounted Captive Cap until a clear click is heard. This ensures the stainless steel shell is securely in place.
Disassembly is also straightforward but should be done carefully. Pull off the Cap Armor with the tip still mounted, pressing the Digger-Outer against the tip with your thumb. Then, you can gently pull off the Cap Armor.
Important: Do not press down on the cap from above during disassembly, as this can damage it.
Due to the press fit, slight marks may appear on the upper crimp zone of your Captive Cap. This is normal and does not affect its function.
The DynaVap Cap Armor is designed for Captive Caps in good condition.
