The DynaVap Thermal Hyper Cap (T.H.C.) is the perfect complement to the DynaVap HyperDyn – especially for those who want to enjoy their herbs using convection heating. Below, we'll show you the special features of this innovative cap and explain how it works.

Convection and conduction – two heating methods, one system

With convection, the herbal material is heated by hot air, while with conduction, the heat is transferred directly from the herbal chamber to the plant material. In modern premium vaporizers, convection is the preferred method due to its gentle and even heating. Mechanical vaporizers, on the other hand, often rely on conduction.

With the DynaVap Thermal Hyper Cap (T.H.C.), you can flexibly utilize both heating methods! The cap is made of robust titanium and is significantly more solid than standard caps. Inside is a removable core filled with 2 mm green sapphire beads. One side of this core element is closed, the other has air-permeable openings.

How the heating selection works

  • Conduction mode: If you insert the closed part of the core into the cap first, the herbs heat up mainly through direct contact with the hot cap – i.e. by conduction.
  • Convection mode: When the core is inserted with the open side (air holes) first, hot air flows through the perforated cap tip. This creates a strong convection component while maintaining a small amount of conduction – a hybrid heating principle.

Replaceable sapphire balls in the core element

The green sapphire balls used in the core element ensure particularly even and harmonious vapor development. Thanks to the openable design, the element can be easily refilled and adjusted as needed—for example, by replacing it with stainless steel balls.

Important to note: The cap's sapphire balls are not compatible with induction heaters. So, if you want to use an induction heater, you can simply swap out the balls.

Proven DynaVap click system – with a twist

As with other DynaVap caps, a distinct click signals when the optimal vapor temperature has been reached. Unlike standard caps, however, the sound here doesn't come from the cap itself, but from the bi-metal core element located in the closed side.

No turning of the cap necessary – but possible

With DynaVap's standard cap, even heating is usually only possible by rotating the vaporizer. The Thermal Hyper Cap, on the other hand, is made of thick-walled titanium and keeps the heat stable. Rotating isn't absolutely necessary, but it can still further improve vapor quality.

Using the DynaVap Thermal Hyper Cap (T.H.C.)

Conduction mode:

  • Push the core element into the cap with the closed side first.
  • Place the cap firmly onto your HyperDyn.
  • Heat the cap at the marked point.
  • As soon as you hear a click, you can start inhaling.
  • After about 30 seconds, another click will follow, signaling: The temperature has dropped – you can heat again.

Convection mode:

  • Slide the core element into the cap, with the air holes first. Make sure the openings at the top are clearly visible—the more open they are, the better the airflow.
  • Place the cap firmly onto your HyperDyn.
  • Heat the cap in the area of the air vents.
  • As soon as you hear a click, you can start vaping.
  • After about 30 seconds it will click again – you can then heat again.
