A fresh wave of vapor is blowing through the world of mechanical vaporizers: The DynaVap Unidyn, a new model, is entering the scene – and it's a real treat. Anyone who thinks this is simply the next version of the familiar DynaVap look is mistaken. The Unidyn sets new standards. Why exactly? Because it offers something that's been missing until now: true convection in a Dynavap vaporizer – paired with clever design, powerful performance, and noticeable ease of use.
Most mechanical vaporizers work with conduction—direct heat transfer from the chamber to the herbs. But the Unidyn works differently: Here, hot air provides vaporization, much like high-quality convection devices. This results in a smoother vapor with a clearer flavor—simply purer.
This is made possible by the newly developed BallR-Cap. It's significantly longer than the standard cap and filled with stainless steel balls that ideally retain heat. Additionally, a perforation at the tip ensures that air flows in when you inhale – exactly as required for true convection. A practical feature: An engraved scale shows you exactly where to heat the cap optimally.
If you heat the cap at the marked point, the entire chamber won't heat up, as was the case with previous models. Instead, hot air will be created above the filling, which flows through the herbs as you draw on the mouthpiece, effectively releasing terpenes and active ingredients. The result: smooth, aromatic vapor with subtle nuances.
The Unidyn also breaks new ground in its construction. The stem is not only sleek and elegant, but also functionally sophisticated: the stem and herb chamber are firmly connected. This reduces the number of individual parts and increases everyday usability.
Particularly clever is the narrow, tapered connector between the bowl and mouthpiece, which acts as a thermal brake thanks to HypoTherm™ technology. The heat stays where it belongs: in the herb chamber. This way, the device doesn't get uncomfortably warm in the hand, even during longer sessions.
Another plus point: Made of titanium, the Unidyn weighs about ten grams less than, say, the M7 XL – you can feel it. And because it only has two O-rings on the mouthpiece, cleaning and maintenance are also pleasantly uncomplicated.
Despite all the innovations, the Unidyn remains true to one thing: It relies on proven features that DynaVap fans have appreciated for years.
Also included is the popular Adjust-a-Bowl function, which allows you to easily halve the volume of the herb chamber. Perfect for microdosing – or simply for situations where less is more.
The airflow control also leaves nothing to be desired. You can adjust the resistance of the draw to your liking using seven fine adjustment levels.
A practical detail for water pipe fans: The 10 mm mouthpiece fits perfectly into any 10 mm female connection. This allows you to easily combine your DynaVap with a bong – for even smoother vapor and stronger effects.
The Unidyn doesn’t have any real weaknesses – but there are a few things you should know:
The new BallR cap is longer than the traditional caps. If you install it on an older XL model, the device may no longer fit in your Dynastash or similar storage.
In addition, the heating time of the new cap takes a bit longer than that of the standard version – the price for a significantly more intense convection experience.
If you've been vaping with electronic vaporizers, switching to the Unidyn might seem a bit strange at first—but that's precisely what makes it so appealing. The results are unadulterated, natural, and powerful.
