How it works
How the Vapman and Lotus heat
With the Vapman, the flame heats the gold-plated copper bowl from below. Conduction and hot air work together – the hybrid principle.
With the Lotus, the flame heats the flower-shaped heating plate. The air underneath gets hot and flows through the herbs as you draw – pure convection.
Mechanical vaporizers from Italy
INHALE vaporizers are heated with the flame of a jet lighter. They work purely mechanically: you control the heat with the flame, the heating time and your draw. INHALE makes the Vapman and the Lotus by hand in Italy – from wood, brass, gold-plated copper, stainless steel and glass.
There are two heating principles to choose from. The Vapman Click lets you know with a click when it's ready. The Lotus works with pure convection. Further down you'll learn how both work, how to use them and which accessories go with them.

Questions and answers about INHALE
Short and honest answers – from our customer service.
Do INHALE vaporizers need a battery?
No. The Vapman and Lotus are purely mechanical and are heated with the flame of a jet lighter. So there's no charging and no battery care.
Which INHALE is best for beginners?
The Vapman Click: its click tells you when the temperature is reached. The Lotus takes a little more practice until you get a feel for flame and draw – in return, it rewards you with pure convection.
What's the difference between the Vapman Click Classic and Pure?
Both heat the same way: gold-plated copper bowl, click signal, chamber up to approx. 0.2 g. The Pure Cherry is made of cherry wood; its heat protection is created by charring the wood. The Classic comes in walnut, padouk, amaranth and olive (Founder Edition), with heat protection made of mica.
What does the click on the Vapman mean?
When the intended temperature range is reached, the Vapman clicks audibly – that's when you draw. As it cools down, a second click follows: time to heat it again. INHALE puts it simply: inhale until it clicks, then repeat.
How do I use the Vapman Click?
Fill the chamber, but don't overfill it. Put on the mouthpiece. Heat the bowl from below with the jet lighter from a distance of about 1.5 cm until it clicks. The flame length sets the temperature. You adjust the airflow by turning the mouthpiece – INHALE recommends starting fully closed.
How do I use the Lotus?
Fill the chamber no more than three quarters full with ground herbs and don't press them down. Put on the Vapor Cap, point the flame almost vertically at the center of the heating plate and preheat for about three seconds. Then draw slowly while moving the flame in small circles. Stir in between.
Does the Lotus work with pure convection?
Yes. The flame heats the flower-shaped heating plate, and the hot air underneath flows through the herbs. The chamber itself is not heated directly – that shapes the flavor and sets it apart from the Vapman.
Which lighter do I need?
A jet lighter with an adjustable, focused flame. The INHALE Premium Jet Lighter has a 9 ml tank, is refillable and works with both Vapman and Lotus. It is shipped empty.
How do I clean the Vapman?
Empty the chamber after every session, ideally with a small brush. You can soak a heavily soiled screen in isopropyl alcohol. Keep wood and alcohol apart. A good polish now and then is recommended for the wood.
How do I clean the Lotus?
The Vapor Cap needs no cleaning because only air flows through it. Clean the chamber adapter and glass pipe with a cleaning solution. Empty the chamber after every session.
Why does the Lotus heating plate change color?
The heating plate curves slightly when heated and turns bluish over time. According to INHALE, this is normal and doesn't affect its lifespan. Avoid pressing on the plate and don't overheat it.
Does the Vapman fit in my pocket?
Yes. The Vapman fits into any jacket or pants pocket together with its hard case.
